With over 40 years of experience navigating waters from Canada to Key West, Captain Steve brings unmatched knowledge and a calm, seasoned hand to every trip.  Pickup out of West Marina in Point Lookout, NY.   How Sweet Charters offers private excursions along the scenic west end of the South Shore of Long Island.   Whether you’re cruising on his 40-foot Mainship or exploring hidden coves aboard the 23-foot cabin cruiser, Captain Steve ensures a safe, smooth, and memorable journey.

  • We have a flexible cancellation policy. Free cancellation if notified at least 24 hours in advance of your departure time. Cancellations booked within 24 hours of booking time are non-refundable.

Steve was a great captain. He coordinated with the boat owner to make sure everything was ready to go, and he took us on a lovely little tour of Jamaica Bay with stops to swim. He was friendly and put us at ease. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had a great time aboard Capt. Steve’s beautiful boat. Capt. Steve checked in with us prior to sailing and was on time and courteous. We had privacy on the top deck of the boat which was very clean and offered amazing views. Got a lot of great pictures and had a really enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

I chartered Captain Steve's boat to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday and he was excellent. He was personable, and very accommodating to my wife and I. The boat was beautiful, clean and exactly what we needed. We will never forget this experience and look forward to the next time.

Capt. Steve is a very kind man with great knowledge of the waters around Long Beach and Long Island in general. He was very accommodating, providing us with plates, napkins and utensils, and making sure our trip was as comfortable as possible. He was also knowledgeable of the waterside restaurants in the area and recommended a nice spot for us to eat once we got hungry. I would highly recommend a day trip with Capt. Steve on his beautiful and spacious boat. Thank you, Captain!

The weather was excellent. Captain Stephen is friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The Mainship was clean, comfortable, and there was room to stretch out inside and out.

Our family had an amazing day on Stephen's boat! He was on time, and he was courteous and friendly. The boat was very clean and had everything we needed to have a great day on the water. We had our own privacy on the upper deck, and the boat was spacious. My mom gets sea sick, and he adjusted the route accordingly. We can't wait to boat with Captain Steve again!

Capt. Steve was an absolute pleasure!! He took my group last minute and didn’t skip a beat!! He made us feel comfortable and safe and we appreciate his efforts so much. My group and I were celebrating a birthday and we had a great time. The top deck of the boat was perfect for pictures and hanging out.

We had a great time on Captain Steve’s boat! This was our first time, and it was easy to book and Steve was very responsive. Steve was committed to safety throughout the trip, the boat was clean and we had fun fishing! Hope to be back onboard soon.
